Where is Maun, Botswana, Africa.
A trendy village with one foot in the swamp, the other in the desert, Maun is the home of Photographer, Stuart James Arnold and his company ‘Kalahari images’ bring you photography from the Kalahari desert, the Okavango Delta and surrounding areas.
To the north… Within the Worlds biggest continuous tract of sand and at the end of a great river, that never reaches an ocean. High upon the Kalahari plateau, in the North West of Botswana, the delta of the Okavango River is a myriad of channels, swamps and flood plains, with truly wildlife, the last unspoiled wilderness in Africa.
To the west… Lake Ngami, sometimes…
To the southeast… The Makgadikgadi pans are home to the last great zebra in Botswana, 20,000 animals trek both north and east, following seasonal regeneration of grass plains as thunderstorms transverse the area, subsequently returning each dry season to the Boteti river.
